This is what happens before, during, and after a FaceTime call:ġ) Open FaceTime, everythings looks smooth and nice 30 FPS.Ģ) Open up the 'Camera Settings' 2.5.12 app and play around with the different angles.ģ) Accept a FaceTime call, the video quality immediately drops, the FPS goes down to ~15, and there are graphical glitches on the video itself.Ĥ) I have to quite the call because the experience on the other hand was terrible.ĥ) Whenever I try to make or receive an incoming FaceTime call, FaceTime immediately ends the call whenever it connects.Ħ) I open the camera settings app and the video itself is lagging and has the same problems as FaceTime.įrom these series of events, we can tell that this is a software related problem. The latest webcam I have the Logitech Pro HD C920S. I have the new M1 Mac Mini and purchased several webcams that would not work The Mac mini detected webcam but no VIDEO. The dock itself it powered so not receiving enough power is not the issue either. Possible solution to widely reported issues of third party webcams not working on the new M1 mac minis. On top of that, Logi Options which I use for my MX Master 2s wont load after a computer restart. Otherwise, I think we need to find an alternative manufacturer. Anybody found a simple workaround The ones I found online are very complex and, I dont think, sustainable.
So while the webcam works, you cant make any adjustments.

They quit unexpectedly on load every time. If your Logitech camera such as BRIO Webcam or c920 webcam out of working on windows 10 after upgrading from Windows 7, you can update the driver to solve it. Logitechs webcam software is not working with Big Sur. Ive just bought a BRIO webcam and none of the last 3 versions of the Logi Capture software will open. I have the Webcam connected to a USB C dock, which (shouldn't) and doesn't limit the transfer speeds. Im using an M1 Mac Mini OS Version 11.2.3. If your Logitech C920 webcam is not working then don’t get disheartened as we bring to you the most effective methods to resolve the Logitech Webcam error. But when it comes to using this webcam, it's a whole different story.
This card is powerful enough for 1440p gaming, no problem. I am currently using a MacBook Pro with an eGPU with a RX 580 (8 gigabyte card).
